This is a bathroom wall with faux travertine and copper 'grout'. The wall was once white.

These marbleized columns were white and nondescript. Now they add a luxurious feel to the bathing environment.

This marbleizing technique developed by Diana is a fraction of the cost of real marble. The cost ia about $500. per column. well.
Generally, the colors are choosen to coordinate with the decor of the room.
It will not take weeks or months to convert a couple of columns, fireplace, or furniture. Generally, just a day of getting in the way of your daily routine. is all it takes.
More than 2 columns will take a bit longe,. perhaps a weekend.
